DAS System

One component of the IntraSpect™ Imaging system, is a Data Acquisition/Analysis Workstation running Microsoft Windows XP/2000. The workstation is used for all operator interaction involving calibration, acquisition, or analysis of NDE data. The workstation can be custom-configured for a customer's needs including the option of a desktop or laptop computer. Preloaded third-party software eases report generation.

The other component of the IntraSpect™ imaging system is the Data Acquisition Subsystem (DAS). The IntraSpect™ DAS offers flexibility by allowing the use of multiple Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) techniques within a single unit. Since the hardware for each NDE method is housed in a single DAS chassis, simultaneous inspections can be performed using one or more NDE technologies. The DAS can be configured for the customer's needs, including:

Two or more Ultrasonic transducers
Two or more Eddy Current probes
Phased Array hardware
Motion Control for addition of an automated scanner from the AMDATA product line.

C-MAPPS

IntraSpect™ C-MAPPS is a new DSP based Turnkey Ultrasonic Corrosion Mapping System manufactured for the AMDATA product line.

The data acquisition and automated motion control are built into a single small unit. For ease of use in the field and back at the office, the data is displayed and stored on a ruggedized tablet PC. A field-proven scanner is supplied for delivery of the probe to the inspection surface.

PortaPal

IntraSpect™ Portable Phased Array system, manufactured for the AMDATA product line, consists of a battery-operated phased array acquisition system and ruggedized tablet computer running standard IntraSpect™ software.

A wireless network can be used between the phased array unit and the tablet PC to enhance flexibility. The tablet PC is a full-featured computer that performs the acquisition, analysis and storage of the data. A field-proven encoded manual scanner is supplied with the system for manipulation of the probe on the inspection surface. The system hardware is capable of operating up to four data sets with any combination of phased array, TOFD (time-of-flight tip diffraction) or conventional UT (ultrasonic) probes.
